Leadership is dynamic. At ASK Wellness Society, we know that growth happens through learning, adapting, and reflecting. This March, we put that commitment into action, reinforcing our dedication to evolving as leaders.
To support this growth, we welcomed Cheryl Cran, a renowned author, motivational speaker, and leadership expert, to facilitate a training series. She encouraged our team to step beyond daily demands and reconnect with our core purpose. Her insights offered a practical framework for navigating change, fostering innovation, and strengthening our effectiveness within complex social systems.
The training was thoughtfully structured over two days:
Coordinators’ Day: The session was for our Coordinators and focused on the Change Cycle and the Me to We model. This session aimed to equip frontline supervisors with practical tools to build resilience, foster a growth mindset, and adapt to new workplace demands. Participants explored how these ideas apply to the program or department that they support, reflecting on what it means to sustain and amplify their work’s impact.
Leadership Team’s Day: The sessions centered on sustaining organizational impact through a strategic lens for our Directors and Officers. In addition to exploring strategies for mentoring diverse teams through change, fostering innovation within constraints, and driving accountability, the session also created space to learn from the Coordinators’ experiences. It allowed for the identification of ways that the Leadership team can better support Coordinators in their roles. The conversation emphasized how they can continue guiding teams through challenges while strengthening systems that uphold our mission and long-term impact.
These workshops offered space for reflection, collaboration, and identification of effective leadership approaches. With these perspectives, we move forward with continued purpose, supporting both our teams and the community we serve. We thank our participants for their engagement and ongoing dedication to our vital work.
