The Crossroads temporarily closed to allow for comprehensive renovations aimed at improving safety, accessibility, and overall livability. The revitalization ensures that residents are welcomed into a space that reflects dignity, stability, and long-term sustainability.
With this extensive revitalization project almost complete, the building is once again operational. We recently marked this milestone by welcoming our community partners for a look at the updated facility. We truly appreciate the continued support of those who work alongside us to enhance the well-being of our community.

Facility Updates
The Crossroads features 51 modernized studio units designed to provide stable, supportive housing for individuals navigating homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use concerns.
Key updates to the building include:
Staffing and Support
Enhanced operational practices and strengthened on-site supports have been critical for the reopening. With 24-hour staffing, clear expectations for residents, and active collaboration with community partners, The Crossroads is positioned to operate as a well-managed and responsive housing environment. Residents also have access to an in-reach health component, an access centre, case management services, and a Program Coordinator.

Program Focus
The Crossroads is designed to be an environment where individuals can work towards stability. The program is tailored to meet unique needs, helping residents address barriers and move towards greater independence. This project is made possible through the support of our funder, BC Housing, whose investment ensures that supportive housing in downtown Kamloops continues to meet the needs of both residents and the broader community.
Last week, 25 residents moved into their new homes, with the remaining units to be filled over the coming month as final minor details are completed. As The Crossroads begins this new chapter, we remain committed to supporting our participants, operating responsibly, and contributing positively to the vitality and well-being of the downtown core.
