Prepare and cook large quantities of food for 50+ clients.
Assist with meal prep and service and supervise kitchen team in Head Chef absence.

Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.

Assist the Head Chef with managing food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizing waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.

Position Summary: As a General Maintenance Worker you will work alongside the ASK Wellness Society Property Services Department and Merritt Team to complete repairs related to buildings and grounds in one or more areas such as repairs, electrical, plumbing, painting and groundskeeping. Service delivery is based on a client centered, trauma informed and non-judgmental perspective.

Typical Duties Include:

Establishes, monitors, and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds. Ensures building and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies.
Make recommendations for major repairs and purchases to the Coordinator of Property Maintenance and Cleaning and/or the Director of Operations, Merritt.
Perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, installing switches, replacing plugs and other basic appliance repairs.
Complete tasks such as but not limited to applying paint and other finishes, repairing drywall, disassembling, and reassembling, replacing sinks and toilets.
Monitor work performed by contractors, prepares estimates of labour and material costs to submit to Property Services.
Collect and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
Clean external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, snow and other refuse.
Perform minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning and watering.
Complete and maintain related records such as online work order requests, mileage and critical incident reports.
Transport equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and cart.
Operate a motor vehicle to pick up and move goods and supplies.
Ensure compliance with all Society supportive standards, policies, and procedures.
Represent the maintenance department at Society Safety Meetings when requested.

Position Summary: As the Nurse Practitioner (NP) within our Prescribed Safer Supply Program (PSS), you will work in collaboration with our Nursing Team, Outreach Team, Interior Health, and Interior Community Services. The focus of the role will be to provide Prescribed Safer Supply and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) to Program Participants who have complex substance use disorders and concurrent complex mental health. The NP will also provide expedient episodic primary care along with addiction therapies. Please also note this position will expect the Nurse Practitioner to be ready and willing to begin prescribing controlled substances for the purposes of both traditional OAT and as a safer supply option. Service delivery is based on a client centered, trauma informed and non-judgmental perspective.

Prescribe Safer Supply medications as per appropriate protocol.

Qualifications and Requirements:

What is Casual/On-Call? Casual/On-Call means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary to a maximum of 40 hours per week and you may be asked to cover day, afternoon and/or graveyard (midnight-8am) shifts.
